Website privacy

Updated October 17, 2026. This notice covers the public OpenWriter marketing website.

Optional website analytics

Google Analytics loads only after you choose Allow analytics. We use it to understand page visits, successful copies of installation commands, visits to the setup guide, and clicks to the beta sign-in page. These actions show interest; they do not prove that someone installed OpenWriter or signed up.

When analytics is enabled, Google receives information about your browser, device and page visits, and uses cookies to distinguish visits. Our tag sends the page path and the referring site's origin, without URL query strings or fragments. We do not send document contents, copied commands, names or email addresses through these events. Advertising personalization and Google signals are off, and automatic form collection is disabled.

Google explains its processing in How Google uses information from sites that use its services.

Your choice

We remember your analytics choice in this browser's local storage. You can change it using the button below or Analytics choices in the footer. Turning analytics off stops future measurement and removes this site's analytics cookies. It does not delete records already collected by Google.

Website analytics is off.

Website delivery

Cloudflare serves this website and handles request information needed to deliver and protect it, including IP addresses and browser request headers. This delivery is separate from optional Google Analytics.
